Mobile Tire Change
At Scarborough Fair Mobile Auto, we pride ourselves on our conscientious mobile tire change service:
- move wheels/ tires from garage or storage.
- safely lift car at the proper lift points using low-profile jack and axle stands.
- loosen lug nuts and lug bolts by hand to prevent marring of rims or damage to lug nuts and lug bolts that can be caused by impact wrench.
- visually inspect brakes and suspension.
- tighten lug nuts and lug bolts by hand to vehicle specification using torque wrench.
- check air pressure and adjust.
- move wheels/ tires to garage or storage.
- re-visit 1 or 2 weeks later and check lug nuts and lug bolts for torque.
Mobile Oil Change (BYOO)
At Scarborough Fair Mobile Auto, we pride ourselves on our meticulous mobile oil change service, and encourage you to BYOO (Bring Your Own Oil, filter, washer):
- run and cool-down engine to warm-up oil.
- drain oil from top or bottom of car, depending on vehicle.
- tighten oil drain plug by hand using torque wrench and new washer (BYOO).
- install quick valve system (BYOO) to save on future oil changes.
- pre-fill new oil filter (BYOO) with oil, lubricate O-ring, and tighten by hand.
- fill oil to vehicle specification, check oil level, and visually inspect for oil or other fluid leaks.
- discard used oil at city environmental waste depot.
Mobile Car Wash & Shine
At Scarborough Fair Mobile Auto, we pride ourselves on our semi-obsessive mobile car wash & shine service:
- pre-soak wheels with wheel cleaner.
- pre-soak car with no-rinse solution.
- rinse car and wheels with water.
- hand wash using no-rinse solution.
- hand-dry using drying chamois or drying towel.
- dress tires.
- clean windshield and other glass, inside and out.
